TMI / About SeaGen
Creative solutions. Practical engineering.
We build technology to observe, assess and respond to the challenges facing our oceans, rivers and lakes.
SeaGen brings together engineering and science, from modular monitoring to marine robotics. Our work follows a continuous cycle: observe what is happening, assess what it means, and develop a measured response.

Creative solutions.
Practical engineering.
We’re a team of engineers, scientists and people who care about the water. We build, deploy and learn, bringing those lessons back to the next version.
Meet SeaGenCan I configure a buoy for my research?
Yes. Baseline Buoy supports up to four monitoring modules. Tell us about your research question, site and sampling needs so we can discuss a suitable configuration or specialist integration.
Can a deployment change over time?
The modular platform is designed to adapt. Our team has added wave sensors and hydrophones to existing deployments as monitoring needs evolved.
Do you work with research collaborators?
We work with researchers on sensor integrations, monitoring and analysis. Bring us a question, a sensor or a potential deployment site, and we can explore it together.
Where should my project start?
Start with what you need to learn, where you want to monitor and how long for. Use the buoy builder to explore configurations, or get in touch to discuss the project.
