We need action.

Take the right actions

The future is both exciting and daunting.

We need to rebuild our economy by moving away from fossil fuels. We need to stop and reverse biodiversity loss. We need food and water for around 10 billion people. We need to remove 10+ billion tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every single year by 2050.

Our lakes, rivers and oceans will play a key role in this future.

We are building the technology to choose and then take the right actions.

Local action

The global solution we need will be made up of countless local actions to first understand and then improve our water spaces.

With data gathering and analysis from our monitoring, the power to make and monitor the impact of these changes will be in the hands of the right people.

The AlgaVator

Our hydrostatic, automated seaweed cultivation rig is designed to respond to the marine environment to optimise crop growth.

Our V1 rig is being tested in Scotland, with live remote monitoring, depth control and onboard system analysis. Solutions for automated seeding and harvesting are being developed for testing in early 2025.

Seaweed has the potential to be used for food, animal feed, fertiliser, bioplastics, biofuel and much more. It absorbs carbon as it grows, potentially reducing acidity, absorbing excess nutrients, and creating habitats as it does so.

The AlgaRay

Voted one of TIME's top inventions of 2023, the AlgaRay is an autonomous, solar-powered glider, that collects and repositions or sinks invasive floating seaweed.

It is an ocean Roomba for the Great Atlantic Sargassum Belt.

The AlgaRay's filtration system makes it suitable for clearing up other pollutants, like plastics and Microalgae.
